01 Yoga therapy

Movement chosen
against your reading.

Yoga is an integral part of Indian culture, traced in the Upanishads and practised in daily life for thousands of years. It is offered here as a complementary wellness practice, taught and guided rather than prescribed.

At Meridian Diagnostic we guide clients through specific yogasana chosen against the energy-pattern reading. It is not a general class; it is a short list of postures aimed at particular tracks, which you can then continue at home.

02 Chakra balancing

Seven wheels
of light.

At the central core of the body spin seven main wheel-like energy centres. Each chakra is a vortex, spinning life-force energy into and out of the body — the word itself comes from the Sanskrit for wheel of light.

In this tradition the chakras may be described as distorted, out of alignment or stagnant, so that life-force energy does not flow freely. It is a traditional model, and the reading is interpreted within it.

The meridian reading works on the principle of the five elements of nature, which this tradition connects with the chakras. The reading indicates which chakra shows as weak within that framework, so complementary balancing can be aimed accordingly. It is offered as a relaxation practice; individual experiences vary.

03 Acupressure

Opening the
channel by hand.

Acupressure applies pressure to specific points on the body, hands and feet. In Traditional Chinese Medicine this is described as opening blocked channels; it is offered here as a complementary relaxation practice.

It is practised widely, and because it needs nothing but hands, the pressure points set out in your report are something you can continue at home between appointments. Individual experiences vary and results are not guaranteed.

Your wellness report lists the pressure points relevant to your reading, alongside the exercises and dietary guidance chosen for you.

04 Ayurveda

The knowledge
of the living.

In Ayurveda, a person is described as well as long as the energy in spirit and body is balanced. It is one of the traditional frameworks the reading is interpreted within, and is offered here as complementary lifestyle guidance.

Ayurveda holds that each being is unique — a particular union of the three energy humours, created at birth, expressing itself through bodily construction, the immune system, personal characteristics and behaviour. Its practitioners work through awareness of lifestyle, behavioural control, diet, massage, therapy and herbs.

Ayurvedic texts describe 72,000 nadis, or energy channels, in the human body. The meridian reading is interpreted against that traditional map, which is what allows the Ayurvedic guidance offered here to be specific to you rather than general.

05 Axiatonal alignment

A gentle, fully
clothed session.

Axiatonal alignment is offered as a complementary relaxation and energy-balancing practice. Sessions are intended to support relaxation and subjective wellbeing. Individual experiences vary.

The practitioner very lightly taps out a sequence over a fully clothed body. Many clients find it deeply relaxing and some doze off during the session.

Because it is light-touch and needs no pressure, it is often chosen by people who prefer not to have massage. Please tell us about any medical condition or recent surgery before booking, and speak to your doctor if you are unsure whether it is suitable for you.

How many sessions people choose varies from person to person. This is a complementary relaxation practice and is not a treatment for any medical condition.

What some clients describe afterwards

  • Feeling more relaxed and rested.
  • Finding it easier to wind down.
  • A calmer, less rushed frame of mind.
  • Taking more notice of everyday things.
  • More inclination to slow down and take care of themselves.

These are personal accounts from clients. They are not clinical outcomes, individual experiences vary, and results are not guaranteed.
